The Perfect Example!

"But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. To him who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also, And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either. Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back. And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise. But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful." -Jesus-   Luke 6:27-36

I don't think I can say much here that Jesus didn't already say. I can't express enough how much it means to treat others in the same way that Jesus treats you. He is the perfect example to us. The one and only that we should ever try to be like. I am so thankful that He has never given up on me, that He was willing to take my punishment for my sins. A punishment that He never deserved. A punishment that I am so guilty of and deserving. Grace means to give something that is not deserved. His grace on us, we do not deserve and yet through His unconditional love for us He was willing to take our punishment and die so that we may live. There is nothing as wonderful and loving as that. We are to mirror His actions towards others. Be willing to take their punishment. Extend mercy and grace to them and show them what God's love looks like. This is easier said than done due to our worldly flesh. Something that only Jesus will ever be able to truly accomplish. But we are to give God our very best though we will fail at times we are to pick up our cross daily and follow Jesus.

I pray that you will take this message to heart and let God work in you. Focus on how you treat others and how you can mirror Jesus to them. Let them see God and not you. Remember that when you do fail God always forgives. His mercy is new every morning!!
With God's Love,
Christian
