"Opening a whole different can of worms"

"Also do not take to heart everything people say, Lest you hear your servant cursing you. For many times, also your own heart has known That even you have cursed others." -Ecclesiastes 7:21-22 NKJ

May I just say WOW! I think that maybe God wrote this little scripture especially for me. This fits me to a "T".
More times than I would like to count,  I catch my self feeling out of sorts because of something someone said or did or didn't do what I thought they should have done. This happened very recently.
Most of the time it turns out that the person I am upset at, didn't mean to hurt me or had no intentions of upsetting me in the first place. I have realized that when I react to these feelings, I end up "opening a whole different can of worms." A "can" that I end up wishing I wouldn't have opened.

When we trust in God to handle situations that we are uncomfortable with, things will Always turn out right! People will not get hurt, and we will be able to move past it a lot sooner than if we take matters into our own hands. I'm not saying that we should just ignore our emotions and feelings. God gave them to us for a purpose. But I am saying to make sure we keep them in check and don't let Satan use them against us.

Now to move on to the hard part. The convicting part, like that wasn't convicting enough already. right?... OUCH.
How many times have we said something about someone else and realized that we too do the exact same thing that we are gossiping about? I would ask you to raise your hand, but the screen isn't big enough for all of us in this world. EVERYONE of us has done that same thing. Probably more times than we are willing to admit. The bible tells us "Do not judge others. Then you will not be judged.
You will be judged in the same way you judge others. You will be measured in the same way you measure others." Matthew 7:1-2 NIV. There's the big OUCH!
Friends, be careful in how you act towards other people. Jesus loves you beyond measure. He loves you unconditionally even with all your faults. We are to love others in the same exact way that Jesus loves us. It is hard to do, but with the Holy Spirit's help we can.
I pray that the Holy Spirit will guide you today as you go about your day. That He will teach you to love others as He loves you.
With God's Love,
Christian
